How Hot Do LED Shop Lights Get?
I decided to test out a few LED shop lights to figure this out. I started by testing the light on its highest setting, then reducing the brightness by 5% each time until I got to the lowest setting.
The results were surprising: The light on the highest setting got very warm to the touch (83°F / 28°C), and the light on the lowest setting was still quite warm (79°F / 26°C). So if you’re worried about your LED shop light getting too hot to handle, don’t be — it’s unlikely that it will exceed 140°F / 60°C.
